Greencross Pet Wellness Company has appointed Garrett Lewis as Chief Executive – Vet Services after an international search.

Lewis brings more than a decade of senior leadership experience in the North American veterinary sector. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Bond Vet, a veterinary group based in New York, and previously spent seven years in senior executive roles at VCA Inc in Los Angeles.

Lucas Barry, CEO of Greencross, said the appointment strengthens the company’s veterinary leadership team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Garrett to the Greencross network. His extensive experience in leading high-performing veterinary organisations in North America will be invaluable as we continue to lead our team toward new levels of innovation, collaboration and clinical excellence.

“Garrett’s expertise in operational excellence and talent development will support our goal to deliver exceptional care for pets and their families.”

Lewis said he was looking forward to contributing to the Australian veterinary industry.

“Australia is home to one of the world’s highest rates of pet ownership, which makes this an incredibly exciting opportunity.

“I’m thrilled to have moved from the US to join Greencross and play a role in shaping the future of pet care. I look forward to driving innovation across the veterinary industry, supporting the wellbeing of pets and helping families enjoy the very best care for their four-legged friends.

“I’m equally passionate about building strong veterinary teams, championing our team members, enhancing operational excellence and ensuring every pet receives the highest standard of care.”

Lewis will be based in Sydney and will meet with the veterinary community at the Connect 25 Clinical Conference on 25–26 October at Sydney Showground.
