More than 1,000 veterinary professionals gathered at Sydney Showground for Greencross Clinical Connect 2025.

The two-day event featured over 75 sessions covering the latest in veterinary medicine, emergency and specialty practice, leadership, wellbeing, and technology in clinics.

Highlights included discussions on AI-driven diagnostics, advances in pain management and surgery, and specialised streams for general practice, emergency and specialty vets and nurses.

Garrett Lewis, Chief Executive Vet Services at Greencross, said it was a fantastic two days of bringing together specialists, vets, vet nurses, practice managers and clinical directors to share ideas, challenge thinking and celebrate the passion that drives us all – delivering the best possible care for pets.

“As someone who is new to Australia and to Greencross, what really stood out is the incredible collaboration, passion and commitment we have across our veterinary community. It’s a reflection of the talent, heart and innovation that defines Greencross.”

Speakers included experts from the Nestlé Purina Institute, Dr Jan S. Suchodolski, and Professor Holger A. Volk, who presented on nutrition’s role in managing enteropathies and epilepsy. A hands-on surgical workshop led by Dr Charles Kuntz offered intensive training in advanced wound healing and soft tissue procedures.

A palliative care workshop by Rosie Overfield and Dr Jackie Campbell also resonated strongly with attendees, focusing on building compassionate end-of-life programs for pets and their families.

Zoetis returned as Platinum Plus sponsor for the fourth year, joined by Royal Canin in its first year at the same level.

Next year’s Greencross Clinical Connect will be held in Brisbane from 7–8 November 2026, with early bird tickets available from May.
