PetSure is extending its emergency boarding cover in NSW for policy holders who have been impacted by the current flood emergency.

Impacted customers can access emergency pet boarding, with their eligible costs being covered by their PetSure administered pet insurance policy from today until 2 September 2022.

When floods devastated NSW and Queensland earlier this year, PetSure allowed its policy holders to access emergency boarding, ensuring impacted pets could be boarded safely, and easing some of the burden on those affected.

The extension was offered between February 2022 and May 2022 and more than 160 policy holders that found themselves away from home, evacuated or displaced by the floods were able to board their pets, with the peace of mind that some of the costs were covered by their PetSure administered pet insurance policy.

During this initial period, PetSure paid out 100 per cent of the claims made by its policy holders for boarding assistance and provided more than $67,000 in benefits to impacted policy holders and their furry and fluffy loved ones.

Lauren Terpening, Head of Product, PetSure, said the company is happy to extend this emergency assistance due to the current weather and flood emergency impacting NSW.

“Our thoughts go out to anyone that has been impacted by the severe weather and flood conditions. We hope that this extension can provide some peace of mind for any of our customers impacted who need to find safe and dry accommodation for their pets. We are here to help.”
