Real Pet Food Co has secured an Australian first with the exclusive import permit for pure Black Soldier Fly (BSF) meal into the country.
The company has spent over two years extensively researching protein alternatives and carefully assessing BSF for its high nutritional value, comparable to traditional animal proteins, culminating in the launch of Billy + Margot Insect Single Protein + Superfoods exclusively into Petbarn.

BSF is an alternative novel protein source that is highly nutritious, hypoallergenic, tasty, and has less impact on the environment to produce.
Carefully grown in a quality-controlled environment and reared on a consistent, traceable, and safe diet of plant-based food, which is responsibly sourced, the BSF is then dehydrated and finely ground into a meal. The novel protein source has been approved by the US and EU pet food regulatory bodies.
