The IndePet Board has announced the appointment of accomplished finance executive Dipali Shah as its newest Independent Director.

Shah brings a wealth of knowledge from more than 20 years of experience across a range of industries, including six years as Chief Financial Officer of the Best Friends Pets Group.

She is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Detector Inspector, a leading national compliance service provider. Prior to Detector Inspector, Shah held senior financial roles across the retail, service, and consulting industries.

Chair of the Board, Andrew Baker, expressed his delight in the appointment, saying that her experience and skillset will help IndePet to achieve its ambitious goals.

“Dipali brings a wealth of financial knowledge and expertise to the IndePet business and when combined with her experience in the pet industry she makes a perfect addition to the board as we continue to level up and chase our goal of 100 stores by 2025.”

Shah is excited to join the IndePet board at a time that the pet industry is going through material change and the role of independent pet stores is evolving.

“I am excited to join the IndePet Board and work alongside other directors and management to help the business achieve its target of 100 stores while creating retail excellence and maintaining independence for its members,” she says.
