Schmackos has launched Schmackos Strapz, a new peanut butter-flavoured dog treat, in collaboration with Bega.

The treats are made in Bathurst, New South Wales, using real beef and peanut butter flavour, with no artificial flavours. The packaging is made from 60 per cent recycled plastic via a mass balance approach.

Anthony Dean, Marketing Director for Mars Petcare Australia and New Zealand, said they’re proud to partner with another iconic brand, Bega, with this new addition to the Schmackos everyday treat range.

“As the popularity of dog care and treats continues to grow, it’s important for us at Mars to respond to pet parents’ needs and continually innovate and develop new offerings and flavours, that ensure both enjoyment and quality for our furry friends.”

Mary Stafford, Head of Marketing – Spreads at Bega Group, said they’re thrilled to see Bega Peanut Butter – a staple in so many Australian households – now bringing joy to four-legged family members through this playful partnership with Schmackos.

The new product joins the existing Strapz range, which includes flavours such as meaty medley, real beefy, and cravin’ chicken. The product is now available at Coles, independent grocery stores, and online for $17 per 450g pack.
