Australia’s largest family-run pet retailer, PetO, is hosting its first national adoption event, Paw-fect Match, in partnership with local shelters and rescue organisations.
The initiative will run across all 23 PetO stores in New South Wales and the ACT on 14–15 June, aiming to rehome 1,000 dogs and cats during the month.
Nick Greenhalgh, Co-Founder of PetO, said to come on down, fall in love and treat your new best mate while you’re at it.
“Our Paw-fect Match events are about giving rescue pets their second chance, while helping Aussies find their paw-fect match through adoption.”
The in-store adoption events will offer families the chance to meet animals in need, speak to experts, and potentially take home a new companion.
Denise Becus from rescue group PAWS, one of the initiative’s partners, said, “We’re thrilled to be part of this Paw-fect Match partnership with PetO. These events give us the opportunity to speak to everyday Aussies about the work we do, as well as giving our furry friends a chance to find love again.”
PetO plans to roll out similar events in other states in the coming weeks.
