Breeder’s Choice and Sydney Dogs & Cats Home are launching a new adoption campaign this August aimed at helping senior and vulnerable shelter cats find their forever homes.

Breeder’s Choice Managing Director Steve Adams said the campaign, called Purrfect Match, is about far more than rehoming older cats.

“It’s about showing what real care looks like. We believe every cat deserves comfort, dignity and a fresh start.”

Throughout August, Breeder’s Choice will share the stories of senior cats on Instagram and Facebook, giving potential adopters insights into each cat’s personality and ideal home environment. The approach aims to build connection and shift perceptions about adopting older pets.

Sydney Dogs & Cats Home Managing Director Melissa Penn said these are the cats who often get passed over simply because of their age.

“But once they’re in the right environment, they give back so much love. Campaigns like ‘Purrfect Match’ by Breeder’s Choice are a chance to show people just how special they really are.”

The campaign builds on Breeder’s Choice’s long-standing support for feline wellbeing. Each year, the company donates more than 800 bags of its eco-friendly litter to Sydney Dogs & Cats Home, maintaining a hygienic, low-stress environment for cats in care.

Running throughout August, Purrfect Match encourages followers to share stories to raise awareness and, where possible, consider adoption themselves.
