Pound Paws has teamed up with The Sheaf Double Bay to bring its annual Dog Day event to the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney on Sunday 26 March.
The event, which has the support of Woollahra Council and Vet HQ, will take place in The Golden Sheaf’s dog-friendly beer garden featuring a variety of market stalls, live entertainment, a doggy themed magician show performed by Julian Bull, a rescue dog adoption parade, and a special doggy themed menu.
Jess Mckenzie, Marketing Executive at The Sheaf, said as a dog-friendly venue, they love welcoming their community and providing a space for dogs and their humans to connect for a good cause.
“The Golden Sheaf is excited to once again host Double Bay Dog Day and support the work that Pound Paws does in raising awareness about pet adoption to the local area.”
There will also be an opportunity for dogs to take to the stage and show off their best costumes or tricks, with prizes including a LVLY Dog Gift Hamper, and a Camilla Dog Bed valued at $350.
On the judging panel will be Lauren Vickers (influencer and model), Manolo Pigmop (doggie influencer) with his fur-mum Crystal Lynne (Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians reality Sahow), Dr Geoff Golovsky (Vet HQ), Susan Wynne (Woollahra Mayor) and Talicia Lees (Sheaf Manager).
Brittany Bloomer, Founder of Pound Paws, said they are delighted to be returning to The Sheaf to host Pound Paws Dog Day.
“Our mission is to raise awareness about pet adoption to the local community in a fun and engaging manner!”
Double Bay Dog Day has free entry and kicks off at The Golden Sheaf at 12pm on Sunday 26 March.
