The Greenery Garden & Home in Heidelberg, Melbourne, has opened a drive-thru station to take the heavy lifting out of loading up on bulk pet supplies.

The concept will see pet owners able to drive up to a window, much like a fast-food drive-thru, and place an order, which will then be loaded into their car for them.

The range will include bulk pet food for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chicken, and rabbits, along with pet beds, kennels, kitty litter and straw for rabbit and guinea pig enclosures.

Customers will also have the ability to park in a ‘browse’ lane if they’d prefer to check out the full range of products available in-store.

Karen Conrad, Managing Director of The Greenery Garden & Home, and the creator of the new drive-thru concept, says the idea is to make it easier for customers to load up on bulk pet supplies, without all the heavy lifting.

“I love the idea of buying dog food in bulk as it saves a lot of money but lugging those heavy bags around is no fun for anyone. So, I thought as we already offered our customers a drive-thru service for landscape supplies, why not extend it to bulk pet food and pet supplies? And just like that, our Doggy Drive Thru was born.”

The Greenery Garden & Home is a second-generation family business. Under new leadership, it is creating a different type of retail experience, embracing garden and home with an emphasis on food and pets.
