Vietnam is set to host its first-ever international-scale pet exhibition, InterPetFest 2025, from 20 to 22 February 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
As the only event in Vietnam exclusively dedicated to pets, InterPetFest says that 100 per cent of its exhibition space will showcase pet-related products and services. Covering 5,000 square metres, the expo will feature 200 B2B booths and 50 B2C booths, catering to an estimated 3,000 local importers, distributors, pet shop owners, and 10,000 pet owners.
The expo is designed to be a hub for business opportunities and industry networking. It will connect exhibitors with key stakeholders, including importers, distributors, industry experts, and marketing agencies. It also offers access to valuable insights on local market trends, consumer behaviour, and business regulations.
Attendees will include more than 100 buyers from Indochina, with opportunities to explore new markets in Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
In a landmark move, SECC will welcome pets inside its premises for the first time, offering a professional and air-conditioned venue. Since 2018, the organisers have successfully hosted local pet events such as the Vietnam Pet Festival and Pet Perfect Festival. Now, they are taking it to the international stage with InterPetFest.
The three-day event will feature an exciting line-up of activities, including:
- Vietnam SECC Grand Dog Show: Licensed by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), with championship titles recognised across Asia, Oceania, and Africa.
- Vietnam Small Animal Vet Experts Conference: A two-day professional gathering with 320 veterinarians.
- ISCC Grooming Competition Vietnam: The nation’s largest pet grooming competition.
- Dogathon: A charity run with over 1,000 dogs and their owners, aimed at raising awareness of animal welfare.
- Pet Competition Series: Featuring agility courses, fashion shows, and races for dogs and cats.
- Workshops and Seminars: Covering topics for pet owners and industry professionals.
- InterPetFest Kindness Initiative: Donations of cash and supplies to five reputable animal rescue centres.
The festival is organised by Eventure Vietnam and GMEG Korea, combining decades of experience in trade fairs and the pet industry. Support has also been extended by international organisations, including pet show organisers from Turkey, India, Korea, Taiwan, and beyond. Additionally, government-backed financial aid from Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, and Singapore will enable businesses from these countries to participate.
