RSPCA NSW is encouraging the community to grab their aprons and preheat their ovens to get involved with this year’s RSPCA Cupcake Day in August.
Supporters can sign up to host a Cupcake Day event at home, school, or work, on any day throughout the month of August.
RSPCA NSW Community Fundraising Manager Ben Wilheim said that more than 100,000 animals turn to the RSPCA looking for help every year and RSPCA Cupcake Day is the chance to serve up much needed funds to fight animal cruelty.
“Cupcake Day is the perfect excuse to bake delicious treats for the people you love, while making a huge difference to the lives of the animals in our care.
“Whether you’re whipping up doughnuts, lamingtons, brownies, or traditional cupcakes, the funds you raise at your Cupcake Day event are vital in keeping our shelter doors open and our RSPCA NSW inspectors on the road.”
Sign up to host a Cupcake Day event by 31 July will go into the draw to win a $500 voucher to The Good Guys.
All events that raise more than $500 will also go into the draw to win a Nespresso Lattissima Touch Restyle machine, valued at $499.
